ANALYSIS OF PRODUCT PAGES

 PRODUCT PAGE

A webpage on a company's website that displays the range of products available for purchase is commonly referred to as a product page. This page is designed to assist customers in selecting products based on various factors such as price, features, customer reviews, and product comparisons (Cox,2022)

FEATURES OF A PRODUCT PAGE

Descriptive Title-    To make a product page effective, it is essential to provide a descriptive title that clearly indicates the nature of the product to the customer. Including one or two unique features such as color, size, or any exclusive attribute can help to attract the attention of potential buyers.

Informative product description- An informative product description section is a must-have on every product page, as it provides customers with all the necessary information about the product. It's the ideal place to include product specifications, helpful guides such as sizing charts, and comparisons to other products in the company's range.

Clear Images- It's crucial for the consumer to easily recognize the product and its appearance. To achieve this, make sure all images featured on the product page are of high definition and provide various angles of the product. It's also beneficial to include images that offer close-ups of different parts of the product.

Customers rating and review- Reviews and ratings are highly valued by prospective customers as they provide an impartial and genuine viewpoint of the product. It's beneficial to provide reviewers with the option of adding their own photos of the product to allow customers to see it from various angles and in different settings.

Live chat- To cater to customers seeking swift responses, numerous companies adopt live chat tools. On product pages, live chats are usually facilitated through a small chat box located in the lower corner of the page, which allows customers to ask queries related to the product. The questions are answered in real-time by either a customer service representative or a chatbot, which can mitigate shopping cart abandonment (Indeed.com,2021)
