FEATURES OF AN E-COMMERCE WEBSITE

(Anonymous,2022)

USER-FRIENDLY NAVIGATION:

A user-friendly navigation system that logically organizes and prioritizes popular product categories can aid customers in efficiently locating the products they need (SEJ STAFF Kristi Hines June 9, 2022).

SITE SEARCH:

Site search, a common feature among leading e-commerce sites, enables customers to bypass navigation and directly search for their desired products (SEJ STAFF Kristi Hines June 9, 2022).

PRODUCT REVIEW:

When visiting a website, many people first check the reviews of products. This is because reviews are a valuable eCommerce feature that can help build trust, aid in decision-making, and increase sales. Negative reviews can also be important, as they can improve credibility. To succeed in ecommerce, it is important to engage with customers and provide an easy way for them to leave reviews (Admin-Intelvision, 2022).

SHOPPING CART:

A shopping cart is a feature of eCommerce that helps customers purchase products. It is a software tool that collects a customer's payment information and sends it to the payment processor and other parties. Intelvision creates this feature for eCommerce websites because it allows customers to store information about products, manage orders and customer relationships, and view product categories and website data. Essentially, it is like a digital basket and cash register for online shopping (Admin-Intelvision, 2022).

EMAIL OPT IN:

According to data from Mail-chimp, e-commerce companies have an average open rate of 15.68% and a click rate of 2.01% for their emails. This highlights the importance of email marketing for ecommerce businesses as it can generate significant revenue. Even if a customer does not make a purchase on the website, getting them to subscribe to the email list allows e-commerce companies to reach them with future sales and promotions (SEJ STAFF Kristi Hines June 9, 2022).
