The price of a product is the amount that customers are willing to pay for it, and it is crucial for marketers to establish a connection between the price and the actual and perceived value of the product. Additionally, supply costs, seasonal discounts, competitors' prices, and retail markup should be taken into account. Sometimes, business decision-makers may increase the price of a product to create an image of luxury or exclusivity, while at other times, they may reduce the price to encourage more people to try it. Determining when and whether discounts are appropriate is also a critical consideration for marketers. Although offering discounts can attract more customers, it can also give the impression that the product is less desirable (Twin, 2022).
PLACE
The distribution aspect of the marketing plan encompasses the location and method through which the customers acquire the product or service, as well as the product's storage and manufacturing. The emergence of digital transformation has altered the means of selling products, whether through online channels, local brick-and-mortar stores, or global manufacturers. Additionally, the marketing plan should factor in the advertising channels and formats used to promote the product, including magazines, online advertisements, radio, infomercials, or product placements in films (Yasar, 2022)
This is the most relevant to my project, The aim of promotion is to convey to consumers that the product is necessary and correctly priced, which involves advertising, public relations, and a comprehensive media strategy for product introduction. Marketers often link promotion and placement elements to target their primary audiences. For instance, in the digital era, the "place" and "promotion" factors are as crucial online as offline. This includes where the product is displayed on a company's website or social media page, as well as which search functions trigger targeted ads for the product (Twin, 2022).
